Tuesday nights are the perfect night for newer windsurfers who have completed a class to come out and practice their skills. Windsurfing nights run on Tuesdays from May through late summer. Experienced windsurfers will be available to help get you on the water. On the first and third Tuesdays of the month, buoys will be set out for fun racing. The second Tuesday of the month will be new member windsurfing orientation and Windsurfer LT orientation/rigging. The fourth Tuesday of each month will focus on light wind freestyle. This event may be cancelled if weather conditions are unsuitable. Please RSVP.

Adult Beginning Singlehanded Sailing Class #3

This is a basic singlehanded sailing class that introduces anyone interested in learning to sail to the concepts of sailing, including:
- Sailing concepts
- Safety
- Boating rules of the road
- Sailing terminology
- Rigging and basic knots
- Capsize recovery
Please bring clothes that you can get wet in to each day of. The small boats that the class are taught in can capsize quite easily on windy days. Capsizing in small boats is a normal occurrence, and as part of the class, we will practice capsize recoveries so that you are familiar with how to recover the boat if you do capsize. A swim test is also part of the class - you will be asked to swim approximately 50 feet while wearing a PFD.
Items to Bring:
Closed-toe footwear you are comfortable wearing in the water. Flip Flops are not a good option!
Personal Flotation Device - LWSC has PFDs that can be used if you don‘t have your own.
Hat with visor
Sunglasses
A CHANGE OF DRY CLOTHES, TOWEL, AND DRY SHOES!

Windsurfer LT boards can be chartered from the Windsurfer LT Class.
Schedule
Saturday: The club will be open by 11:00 for setup.
Saturday: Windsurfer LT racing starts at 3:00 pm
Saturday: Post-race BBQ at approx. 6:30pm
Sunday: Windsurfer LT racing starts at 12:00 noon.
Entry fee includes racing for both days and Saturday BBQ.
Separate fee for board charters to be paid to the Windsurfer LT Class.
