The JHPS clinics are for juniors who have two or more seasons of experience sailing and feel comfortable racing in close quarters against others. The participants work on racing skills such as tuning, starting, tactics, and advanced boat-handling in single and double-handed boats. The Racing Clinics are held on Monday and Wednesdays from 4:00 to 6:00pm. This clinic is held for nine weeks during the summer (except 4th of July week) and the clinic can be repeated as many times as desired.
Participants in this class are also encouraged to compete in LWSC and BAYS (Bay Area Youth Sailing) regattas throughout the summer. Coaching staff will travel to and provide support and coaching at away regattas.
