Clubhouse
When you cross the threshold into our clubhouse, there's a sense of "traveling back in time," combined with the bustle of current club activity. With its simple amenities and exposed wood construction, the clubhouse harkens to our 1933 roots. It's where you'll find life-jackets, snacks, a sink, fridge and swag for sale. Members can access Wi-Fi while inside or nearby. Members' keys give access to the clubhouse, restrooms, pedestrian and vehicle gates. Our monthly meetings are typically held here. The clubhouse deck is a prime spot for viewing races, eating a meal, or simply taking in the Lake Washington scene.
Sailing Fleets
Sunfish
The classic beginner boat, easily sailed by one person, but can accommodate two. This is the boat we use for classes.
Lasers
Typically sailed by one person, the lasers are our largest racing fleet. Come out for a Saturday One-Design or Thursday night race to witness the skill and athleticism of our Laser sailors, some of whom compete nationally and beyond.
Lido 14
There is an active fleet of Lido sailors that regularly participates in the Thursday Night Buoy Racing and One-Design Series. The club has two Lido 14s which we use for the Beginning Sailing and Intermediate Lido classes as well as a youth sailing camps.
Windsurfing
LWSC has a variety of windsurfing boards and sails that are suitable for beginner to advanced windsurfers. We have high-volume boards that are stable and good for learning, in addition to more advanced boards. Our rigged sails are stored in a nearby container, which means you can often get on the water within 10-15 minutes of arrival.
Club-Owned Boats
The club maintains a fleet of Sunfish, Laser, Thistle, and Lido's. The club also has windsurfing equipment available for qualified members to use.
